POPE FRANCIS IN SOUTH SUDAN.

Pope Francis urges clergy in the country to stand against injustices.
South Sudan is a country which has been undergoing civil War for a long time since it’s independence in 2011.

The Catholic Church head pope Francis and the the heads of churches in Scotland and England who had the three day trip to South Sudan as Pilgrimage peace for this nation.

An estimation of over 400,000 people have died because of violence and ethical confrontations. Thi shows a bloody shed nation. pope pleads for peace and injustices to be stoped.

Pope meets hundreds of south Sudan’s religious leaders on his first day in the country, at the cathedral of saint Therese in juba the capital city .

He addressed and told them to not stand neutral but speak up against the injustices and abuses of power that people face.

He added that “ if you want to be a pastor who intercede, you should not stand neutral before the pain caused by acts of injustice and violence. Because violating the fundamental rights of any man or woman is an offence against Jesus Christ.”

“ my heart breaks, i can hardly speak with sorrow for South Sudan” Archbishop Justin Welby said.

He continued telling the people who gathered that “ i beg that at every level from the president, to the smallest child, that people find the mercy of God and get transformed, and that there is peace and good government. No one should steal money, no one should kill his neighbor for cattle.

POPE FRANCIS ‘s visit was his first visit to the republic of South Sudan.
