Political and security partnership agreement signed on the 11th Session of the Rwanda-Uganda Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) in Kigali.
Bilateral discussions were held in Kigali this Friday March/24/2023, between Ugandan forei affairs minister Gen Jeje odongo and his Rwandese counterpart Vincent Biruta in Kigali.

The two countries have basically discussed on the elimination of their insurgencies that operates in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The FDRL also 1994 genocide perpetrators in Rwanda, have continually distabilised this country after fleeing to DRC due to the defeat by the FPR inkotanyi. The force has persistently firm stood to it’s ideological system to invade the Kigali regime and take over the leadership.
The ADF Forces also Ugandan insurgent has distabilised the country by terror attacks and terrorism acts like the current blast of an individual near the Ugandan parliamentary building.
Due to these insecurity the two countries on Friday, have signed agreements of partnerships on different sectors of politics security inclusively.
The two countries agreed on pursuing the rebels from their stay after attaining the regional states acceptance also as a case to terminate the terror attacks the same individuals do to the Congolese nationals.
The perplexity comes back to the states as Kigali condemns Kinshasa of collaborating with it’s insurgent.
The FDRL after fleeing Rwanda has kept it’s mission of Tutsi extermination basically in Eastern provinces of DRC where it’s bases are. The namely Banyamulenge and other Tutsi faced like have always been killed by the same perpetrators.
In the same session Kigali has allowed the Ugandan air career ( Uganda Airlines), for the direct flight designation to Kigali from its hub Entebbe. An act that has been of much pleasure to Uganda, as mostly the business community has been much affected.
The Rwandese Minister of foreign affairs has admitted to visit kampala as soon as possible, to keep bilateral relationship accelerated.
The relationship between these two countries has been strained for years, followed by the three years of border closure, that came to an end by the Ugandan president’s son also the chief commander of UPDF’s visit to Rwanda that brought change to the situation, as Uganda was accused of collaborating with Rwandese Rebels.
Bilateral relationship keeps it’s forwarding pace as the two nations strides towards security partnerships to eradicate their insurgencies.
